Sculpture, 2018 - Wooden shadowbox, metal emergency hammer, tranquilizer darts, tranquilizer made from internet recipes

In the age of #MeToo, two female loved ones of mine engaged in a conversation on the weapons that would make them feel safe. They settled on tranquilizer darts -not tranquilizer guns... darts - specifically, to incapacitate their harassers. As sculptural gifts, I constructed emergency kits comprised of darts, attached emergency hammer, and actual "live" tranquilizer researched from the dark web, injected into the defensive weapons.
